UK to help Vietnam improve quality of occupational trainers
How to improve the quality of trainers at vocational schools in Vietnam was the main theme at a workshop held on March 20 in the framework of a joint project on vocational training between Vietnam and the UK.

Nguyen Van Lam, Deputy Director of HCM City Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said enhancing the quality of occupational trainers is among key tasks in the city’s human resources development programme.
He urged vocational training establishments to set up linkages with enterprises to ensure that trainees meet enterprises’ requirements.
British Deputy Consul General in HCM City Neill James said the UK international trade office in HCM City will provide professional support to Vietnam and hold business matching events in the field through the network of experts in the UK and UK consulates and diplomatic representative offices in Vietnam.
He said quality occupational trainers will help equip trainees with skills and knowledge necessary for them to gain success in the global market.
Participants at the workshop shared experience in vocational training and studied cooperation programmes in vocational training between Vietnam and the UK.
