Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh receives the High-level Official Delegation of Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfares
(LĐXH)- On May 09, at the Ministry’s Headquarters, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh had a meeting and working with the High-level Official Delegation from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfares of Lao led by Mr. Padeumphone Sonthany, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfares.

The Deputy Minister shared that althought the complicated situation of the world and areas, advantages, and challenges, the traditional friend relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam – Laos have been increasingly consolidated and developed.
The Deputy Minister appreciated the effective cooperation in the field of labour and social affairs between the two countries.
On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Minister Padeumphone Sonthany expressed his thank for the warm welcome of Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh. He affirmed the good relationship between the two countries Vietnam – Laos, the relationship between the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs, and Laos’ Ministry of Labour – Social Welfares.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Padeumphone Sonthany shared that in the near future, the Lao Government plans to amend and supplement the Law on Social Insurance, and this business trip of the delegation aimed at sharing, exchanging, and learning the experience between the two Ministries on social insurance policies.
Therefore, he wished that Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh and other specialized agencies would like to share and exchange with the senior leaders of the Lao Ministry of Labour, Social Welfares on contents related to social insurance policies.
Sharing at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh said that Vietnam is also implementing a roadmap to amend and supplement the Law on Social Insurance to ensure people's social security.
At the meeting and working session, members of the delegation and representatives of specialized agencies of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs also discussed about unemployment insurance and health insurance policies.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh affirmed that in the process of policy formulation and implementation, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam is always ready to share the contents concerned by the Delegation./.
