Approving the intervention program to reduce child mortality under 5 years old
(LĐXH)- Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has signed Decision 1493/QD-TTg dated September 10, 2021 approving the Program "Intervention to reduce mortality rate among children under five years old by 2030”.
The program will be implemented on a nationwide scale, according to the roadmap and in line with the issued strategies and policies to improve the health and reduce the mortality rate among children under 5 years old. Priority should be focused on difficult mountainous areas and ethnic minorities.
Specific contents of interventions include: Care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and after childbirth; newborn care under professional procedures recommended by the Ministry of Health; taking care of children under 1 year old and under 5 years old; controlling emerging diseases and the return of vaccination-related diseases.
One of the main solutions and tasks is propaganda and communication to change behavior.
Mobilizing the participation of mass organizations, reputable people in the community, mass media agencies to participate in communication to change behavior on maternal and child health care./.
