(LĐXH)- Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam, on November 22, a high-ranking delegation of the Germany's left-wing Party led by Mr. Maximilian Schirmer, Deputy Chairman, visited and worked at the Ministry of MoLISA.
Receiving the delegation were Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung, along with leaders of the Department of Overseas Labour Management, the Directorate of Vocational Education and the Department of International Cooperation.
At the reception, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the two sides. Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany officially established diplomatic relations in 1975 and upgraded the relationship to a strategic partnership in 2011, but in fact, the traditional friendship between the two countries was formed and existed long before that.
In 2025, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, in which the MoLISA and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany agreed to organize the Vietnam - Germany Labour Forum in April 2025, in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung said that the Vietnamese community in Germany with over 170,000 people has formed a priceless common asset, becoming an indispensable catalyst for the diverse and unique development of relations between the two countries.
Regarding the outstanding cooperation between the two sides in labour and vocational education, he said that in the past, the two sides have been implementing 10 projects/cooperation programs at the national and regional levels.
The projects have contributed to improving the quality of vocational training as well as the quality of human resources to serve the needs of socio-economic development.
The Deputy Minister suggested that the Federal Republic of Germany pay attention to and support Vietnam in training German language for workers.
At the same time, he wished to further strengthen cooperation in vocational education and sending Vietnamese workers to Germany to work in the context of Germany's recent revision of its foreign labour reception policy.
Thanking the Deputy Minister for his warm welcome to the delegation, Mr. Maximilian Schirmer, Deputy Chairman of the Germany's left-wing Party, emphasized that the focus of the delegation's visit to Vietnam this time is not only to consolidate and further develop the traditional friendly relationship between the German left-wing Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam, but also to exchange and learn about the cooperation situation between the MoLISA and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Mr. Maximilian Schirmer acknowledged the suggestions from MoLISA and said that the German left-wing Party is ready to help and support Vietnamese workers to work in Germany and will consult with relevant agencies of the German Government to resolve difficulties and obstacles in cooperation between the two sides./.
