Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh receives Republic of Korea’s Ambassador to Vietnam
(LĐXH)- On May, 10th, 2021, Deputy Minister of MoLISSA Le Van Thanh had a cordial meeting with Mr. Park Noh Wan, Republic of Korea’s (ROK) Ambassador to Vietnam.
Attending the meeting were leaders from Department of International Cooperation, Department of Social Insurance and Department of Employment.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh thanked the Ambassador for his visit to Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs in order to discuss on some issues of ROK’s enterprises.
Mr. Park Noh Wan highly appreciated the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and ROK in general and in the field of labour, employment in particular. He said that, currently, there were many Vietnamese labourers going to work in ROK under the contract and many Korean labourers working in Vietnam.
The Ambassador hoped that MOLISA would have the detail direction and guideline for the program of sending Vietnamese labourers working in ROK in Holidays; and concern to sign the agreement on working Holidays between Vietnam and ROK in order to contribute to cultural exchange and building the foundation of sustainable relationship between Vietnam and ROK.
Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh thanked the Ambassador for the concern in the fields of labour and employment in Vietnam. The Deputy Minister affirmed that the pandemic Covid-19 has had a great impact on the travel between the two countries. However, the difficulties did not affect the good relationship between the two countries.
The Deputy Minister appreciated that ROK has doubled its EPS quota for Vietnamese workers. The Deputy Minister hoped that in the near future, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs will direct relevant units to implement of dispatching Vietnamese labourers to work in ROK.
Regarding the Ambassador's concern on the Vietnam- ROK’s Agreement on Social Insurance and Working Holidays, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh said that the Agreement on Social Insurance is coming to a final agreement. The Ministry of Labour -Invalids and Social Affairs will submit to the Prime Minister in the forthcoming time./.
