Minister Dao Ngoc Dung receives Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam
(LĐXH)- On 2nd June, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with Mr. Yamada Takio, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam.
The meeting aimed at promoting cooperation in the field of labour, human resource development between Vietnam and Japan. Attending the meeting were Leadership representatives from the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Employment, Department of Overseas Labour.

Sharing on the cooperation program on labour between Japan and Vietnam, Ambassador Yamada Takio said that Vietnamese nurses and paramedics who have been dispatched in Vietnam - Japan Economic Partner Agreement (EPA) reached a high passing rate in Japan. The specific skills program receiving Vietnamese workers in the field of construction has been highly appreciated. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung thanked Ambassador Yamada Takio for his attachment emotions with MOLISA. He also shared with the Ambassador about the complex movement of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam. Vietnam has concentrated on control the Covid-19 pandemic at the industrial zones, especially in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces.
To inform about the general cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, the Minister said that, the field of labour and human resource development has been an important field, especially, in the context of the aging population and the pandemic currently. He also affirmed that Vietnam thanked Japan’s Government and people for the help Vietnam with vaccine and medical care in the work of pushing back the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Minister suggested that the Ambassador and Japan’s Government continue to take care of Vietnamese workers in Japan, creating good conditions for them to be able to work well at Japanese production facilities. At the same time, he proposed that Japan’s Government reopen the market to receive Vietnamese labourers to work soon. The two governments will discuss measures to ensure the health and working conditions for workers.
Ambassador Yamada Takio thanked Minister Dao Ngoc Dung for the warm welcome. He also agreed with the issues to be resolved in human resource cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador affirmed that Japan is committed to supporting Vietnam in strengthening pandemic prevention and control in industrial zones, aiming to develop the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Japan into a reality, effective. He highly appreciated Vietnam's point of view when focusing on disease control in industrial zones to stabilize production, business, and health for Japanese workers in particular and workers in general./.
