MoLISA Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh received the Belgian Ambassador
(LĐXH)- On February 21, at the MoLISA Headquarters, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh had a meeting and worked with Belgian Ambassador, Mr. Karl Van DEN BOSCHE.
In the field of labour and employment, Vietnam is interested in developing a flexible and sustainable market.
In 2019, Vietnam passed the Labour Code, which updated international and modern labour standards.
At the same time, Vietnam has also ratified many conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), joined many new-generation free trade agreements...
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Belgium (1973-2023), the Deputy Minister wished to strengthen cooperation between the two countries to affirm Vietnam's role in the international arena, especially promote stronger relations in social security of the two countries.
Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh hoped that in the coming time, the two sides would agree to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on social security, including vocational training, skilled labour exchange, social insurance, and social assistance.
At the event, Ambassador Karl Van DEN BOSCHE highly appreciated the trusting and good relationship, as well as the close coordination and mutual support in the international arena between the two countries.
He congratulated the achievements that Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in particular have achieved in recent years.
In 2023, towards the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Belgium, the Ambassador invited Vietnam to attend and introduce its achievements on decent work for sustainable development at the Symposium of United Nations in New York.
The Ambassador affirmed that in his position, he will continue to support and share with Vietnam Belgium's experiences in social security, contributing to strengthening the development of the good cooperation relationship between the two countries./.
