Nearly 9.7 million workers receive support from Unemployment Insurance Fund
About 9.67 million workers have been provided with cash relief totalling over VND23.03 trillion (US$1 billion) from the Unemployment Insurance Fund under the Government’s Resolution No. 116 as of November 5.

Ho Chi Minh City saw the highest number of workers provided with assistance from the fund with1.8 million workers, followed by Hanoi with 1.29 million workers, Dong Nai with more than704,000 workers, Binh Duong with over 596,500 workers, and others.
Head of the Insurance Policy Implementation Department under the Vietnam Social Security, Do Ngoc Tho said it is expected that the Vietnam’s social insurance will have basically completed the settlement of the support policy for workers by November 15.
“Workers highly appreciate the social insurance agency for quickly implementing support policies under the Unemployment Insurance Fund, with streamlined administrative procedures, increasing convenience for employees and contributing to reinforcing people's trust in the social insurance agency”, said Director of Ho Chi Minh City Social Security Phan Van Men.
According to the Vietnam Social Security (VSS), around 15.55 million people across the country participated in social insurance as of November 4, an increase of one million people compared to September 2021.
The country also has 84.37 million people participating in health insurance, an increase of 837,000 people compared to September 2021.The four provinces of Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh and Quang Tri have fulfilled the assigned tasks on health insurance./.NDO
