Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Conference to honor people with meritorious services to the revolution
(LĐXH)- On the morning of July 22, in Hue City of Thua Thien Hue province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Conference to honor people with meritorious services to the revolution in 2023.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the People's Newspaper and the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2023).
Attending the conference were former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, former Head of the Central Committee for Thought and Culture; representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, branches and central agencies; and 300 typical people with meritorious services to the revolution.Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh speaks at the Conference to honor people with meritorious services to the national typical revolution in 2023
The 300 participants are typical people representing 9,2 million people with meritorious services nationwide. In particular, there are 25 delegates who are ethnic minorities such as Ha Nhi, Hre, Khmer, Muong, Nung, Paco, Ta Rieng, Tay, Thai, and Xe Dang.
Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said that over the past time, gratitude activities and the Movement "The whole people take care of the families of invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution" has grown more and more widely, gaining the sympathy and response of the society, becoming a traditional beauty of the nation.

The whole country has mobilized over 13.000 billion VND to support households of people with meritorious services to build over 84.000 new houses and repair over 69.000 gratitude houses; donated nearly 126.000 savings books to policy families with a total amount of over 1.000 billion VND; do well in the lifelong care and support of nearly 3.000 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
This year, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the State President has decided to give gifts to nearly 1,4 million people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of those with meritorious services to the revolution with a total budget of more than 400 billion VND.
Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated and warmly praised the strong spirit, energy and strong will of war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution, of which 300 delegates at the event were typical representatives.
These are really bright examples that move people's hearts, as well as encourage, inspire and motivate each of us to rise up.
In the coming time, the Prime Minister asked all levels, branches and localities to continue to well implement the guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State, further promote the care of wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution./.
