Sustainable poverty reduction efforts for the period 2021 - 2025
(LĐXH)- According to the results of the review of poor households and near-poor households at the beginning of the period 2022 - 2025, the national multidimensional poverty rate is 9.35% with a total of 2,393,332 households.
The lives of the poor are gradually improved and enhanced as well as social security is ensured.
According to Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh, in order to reduce poverty sustainably, poverty reduction policies must follow the direction of conditional support, step by step abolish the "free" policy, and promote internal to get out of poverty of people and communities.
At the same time, improve the management policy and organize the well implementation of the National Target Program for Poverty Reduction in the 2021-2025 period; supporting the poor and poor households to rise above the minimum standard of living.
Policies should focus on investment in socio-economic infrastructure, especially in disadvantaged areas; livelihood diversification, production development, vocational education, job creation and good income for the poor.
According to Decision No. 652/QD-TTg dated May 28, 2022 of the Prime Minister and related documents, the central budget in 2023 for the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the 2021-2025 period expected to be 11,402,066 billion./.
