The demand for labour recruitment increases after Tet in HCMC
(LĐXH)- According to the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, the city's labour market in 2023 has many positive signs. Since the beginning of the year, many businesses have begun to receive more orders, expanded production and business scale.
Production, business, trade, service, and tourism activities are vibrant again after a long time of being restrained by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Textile and footwear enterprises have been continuing to produce for orders until June 2023 and are stepping up their search for orders for the following months.
Labour demand of manufacturing enterprises in the city by the middle of 2023 needs about 40,000 workers. Particularly, enterprises operating in export processing zones and industrial parks in the city have a need to recruit more than 12,500 workers.
It is forecasted that in the first quarter of 2023, nearly 500 businesses have the need to recruit 13,000-14,000 job positions.
The garment, leather and footwear industry has a need to recruit about 5,000 positions; the field of electricity-electronics needs to recruit 2,200 positions, plastic chemistry field recruiting 800 positions.../.
