Vietnam - Greece soon sign labour cooperation agreement
(LĐXH)- On September 13, at the Ministry's Headquarters, Deputy Minister of MoLISA Nguyen Ba Hoan received Mr. Georgios Stilianopoulos - Greek Ambassador to Vietnam to discuss and promote the early signing of a Labour Cooperation Agreement (MOU).

MoLISA has consulted relevant Vietnamese Ministries and agencies as well as held an online meeting with the Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
The two sides discussed and agreed on the content of the draft MOU. MoLISA has completed the draft MOU and sent it to the Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum by the end of August 2024.
However, MoLISA has not received any feedback from Greece yet.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan suggested that the Ambassador discuss with the Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum to study and respond so that the two sides can soon agree and complete internal procedures so that the two Ministers can sign the MOU on behalf of the two governments.
According to the plan, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung will have a working trip to Greece at the end of this September.
Thanking the information from Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan, the Greek Ambassador agreed with the Deputy Minister's views and suggestions and said that immediately after the meeting, he would discuss with the Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum to agree on the content of the draft MOU and response to MoLISA soon.
The Ambassador said that the results of sending Vietnamese workers to work in Greece in the past have not been commensurate with Vietnam's labour supply capacity and Greece's demand.
"I will try my best to fulfill my duties well, contributing to making the relationship between the two countries more effective and practical," he added./.
