Vietnam pledges to join hands in tackling the challenges of the future work
(LĐXH)- On June 08 in Geneva, Vietnamese Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung on behalf of the Delegation of Vietnam’s Government had an online speech at the 110th session of International Labour Conference (ILC 110).

At the high-level plenary sittings from June 6 to 9, heads of states, ministers, and heads of delegations delivered speeches about the priority theme on “Decent work and a solidarity economy”.
At this high-level plenary meeting, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung expressed his strong support of the initiatives and actions of the ILO to promote decent work and a solidarity economy.
“These initiatives and actions contribute an important part in helping the world continue towards the goals of the United Nations Agenda on sustainable development till 2030 as well as implementing the ILO’s mission on promoting social equality and decent work for all” - said Minister.
“Vietnam consistently supports comprehensive, inclusive, sustainable development that puts people at the center, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, creed, religion, or social status” - said Minister Dao Ngoc Dung.
He added: “Vietnam supports the ILO’s promotion of a solidarity economy and sustainable development, and agrees that the conference should discuss the inclusion of provisions on occupational safety and health in the 1998 Declaration on principles and basic rights in the workplace”.
In addition, Vietnam is committed to joining hands with other ILO members to address the challenges of the future of work, and looks forward to continuing to receive the support of the ILO to secure decent work in an unstable world./.
