(LĐXH)- On January 25, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) Dao Ngoc Dung met and worked with Mr. Nimura Minoru, General Director of Canon Vietnam Co.,Ltd to discuss about business production activities, life workers and solutions to restore Canon production in next time.
At the meeting, General Director of Canon Vietnam thanked MOLISA for its policies to support businesses, including Canon Vietnam to overcome the pandemic and restore Canon production.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that the year of 2021 is a challenge for the world and Vietnam. After 6 months (from April to October) being heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's socio-economic situation has gradually been restored.
The Minister applauded Canon Vietnam for proactively and effectively adapting to the epidemic, thereby enduring difficulties and maintaining production and business activities.
According to the Minister, COVID-19 pandemic causes challenges but also opens opportunities, especially for Canon. In fact, in the past year, Canon Vietnam's printer orders have increased sharply, and Canon has also seized this opportunity very well.
At the meeting, the Minister said that the most encouraging thing is that besides restoring production, Canon Vietnam has maintained jobs, taken care of life workers, guaranteed salaries and Tet bonuses for his employees. “It shows that Canon Vietnam has really cared about his employees. So that employees can consider the workplace as their own home, that improves the working spirit for production”, said the Minister.
Sharing about Canon Vietnam's problems with labor shortage, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that besides continuously recruiting new workers as traditional method, Canon Vietnam can learn from JHL Group to recruit new trained workers. “Project of 30,000 high-quality workers" which co-managed by MOLISA and JHL Group has been linked to provinces and cities in recruitment, career counseling and job placement for local workforce./.
